GLS designed and installed a private wide area communications backbone network supporting 270 client workstations, 25 NT servers, 220 telephones, and 700 mobile radios. The network delivers a consistent user desktop and dial plan. The robust system achieves high levels of availability in an extremely harsh environment and amid classified and international operating constraints. Lifecycle performance, maintainability, and mission requirements are balanced with budget and access constraints. Bulk and client level encryption is implemented for all technologies. GLS continues to:

• Provide data and voice cabling using industry standard components and configurations.
• Fully test and document systems and enhancements.
• Meet severe host nation constraints.
• Provide second level technical support for all systems.
• Participate in planning and training as augmentation of Prime Contractor staff.
• Ensure that all systems operate as designed.
• Support new capabilities as they are implemented.
